Fri Dec 21 2018 play date

Today was not that different. In the morning at 8:05 mom went like an alarm. 3.2.1.briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing. That woke me up and we got breakfast. I just remembered today was the day that I was going to have play date. But the fun doesn’t start until 1:20. First we went to shop at a place called Donkey Kote. At DK we bought cosmetics for mom. Mom bought a super cool phone case. We shopped for two hours. Then we went to the train station to pick them up. Only two girls came. The older one was called Hannah and the younger one was called”Ari”. First we went to a trampoline place. We stayed there for 30 min. Then we bought tapioca drinks. We went back to my dormitory to play. Then we went to the park. We stayed there for a long time. For dinner we had beef. After dinner we went to a music concert. Then we said bye and went back home and I wrote this diary.       

Thursday December 20^th 2018 KGU Farewell Party

Today was a special day. We got up late again because my mom wanted to finish packing earlier, so she worked on it till late last night. Then we rushed to my mom’s school. Again can you guess why? (Please cover the answer) If you said I have class then you would be right. I took Japanese class for 2 hours. I learned that Pokémon means pocket monsters in Japan. How do you say it (if you want to know what it sounds like please go to Google translate) ポケットモンスター, Pokettomonsutā (po-k-tow-mon-su-ta). Again I had KD. It was my last day KD. So everybody respect me. That was the only time when I was called. After leaving KD and not returning I went back to my moms school. We had a HUGE party there. We celebrated the party the Farewell party. We stayed there for 2 hours and 30 min. After the party we shopped a bit, and then we went back home. When we got to our dorm, then I wrote this diary.

Wednesday December 18^th 2018 At Kids Duo 

Today was a little different. Just look at my schedule.

1.    Wake up.

2.    Go to school.

3.    Study.

4.    Reward for studding.

5.    Lunch.

6.    Kids Duo bus comes at 1:50 not 1:15.

7.    Have a frustrating time at Kids Duo.

8.    Go back home.

9.    Eat, and diary and sleep.

You would ask why were you so frustrating time at Kids Duo? First there is this guy called very very very weird Yuto. So in kids duo you can earn points. And if you have the most points they give you 2 stamps. With stamps you can earn prize and the prize is a toy. So when the teacher asks a question Yuto will always be called so he gets all the credits. Even when Yuto is not here the teacher still doesn’t call me. I don’t know but I think it's Yuto and the teacher’s fault. YOU KNOW I AM LEAVING KYOTO IN THREE DAYS and I have no hope of getting a prize.        

Tuesday, 2018 12 17 Everything Got Back to Normal
Today dad left. We first got to my moms university. We went to the library, and then ate lunch. After lunch I left my dad. Everything became normal again. And this would be are schedule again.

2018/12/15 Saturday 

Today dad and I went to the aquarium. We got to the aquarium by using the JR. JR stands for Japan Railway. At the aquarium there is a Japanese giant salamander.

You just have to click on it. I am not really goanna to a person with a mouthful of words but in that website they say a 35 years old Japanese giant salamander 日本大泥 died. After the giant salamander we went to see a lot of more sea creatures but I’m going to tell the important parts of the aquarium. Three things. 1. Little penguins (there are more than 40 of them!) 2. Jellyfish (if the lights in the jellyfish tanks light turns color then of the jellyfish turns color too.3.dolphin show. After the dolphin show we left the aquarium. Then my mom went to a mall. But we still haven’t eaten dinner yet. Luckily we find a skewers buffet. After the buffet we went back home.

2018/12 /14（Friday）

Today da and I went to the zoo. We got to the zoo by number 46 bus. Actually mom was there too but she went to the nearby art museum. At the zoo we bought the tickets. My dad thinks the price is good because adult ticket is 6.00$ and the child ticket is 0.00$. But I think it is not worth it. I feel like that you shouldn’t need a ticket. In the zoo the first animal that I saw was the leopard. When I saw the leopard it was walking in circles. It looked like it was thinking a plan to do something. I think that American zoos and Japanese zoos are kind of not the same.  For an example in American Zoos animals don't need to do any thing and eat but Japanese zoos animals have to find the food is grass. Next we saw tigers, reptiles, and birds and mammals like monkeys. Then at 4:30 the zoo closes. We left the zoo and we walk to a McDonald. I got my favorite McDonald happy meal and collected one more Shinkansen train, and mom and dad ate sashimi. Sashimi is a Japanese dish. Sashimi is basically just seafood. After the food we explored more of Shijo.      

        

2018/12 /14（Friday）

Today dad mom and I went to Kyoto city hall. Kyoto city hall is located at sanju三条. If you take the subway to the city hall it will take 3 stops. An adult ticket will be 2.50$ while the child ticket will be 1.10$. When we got to the city hall we went to a Pokémon center. Let me simply tell you what is Pokémon. Pokémon is basically creatures that go in balls and then you battle with them. Pokémon is Japanese. In Japan Pokémon is known as "Pocket Monsters". At the Pokémon center we saw Pokémon stuffed, and plastic, and electronic toys too. I forgot to tell you that before the Pokémon center we ate Chinese food炒饭、煎饺、蒜台和麻婆豆腐. By the end of the day my mom paid for a street painter to make a funny photo of me. Famous places I went to today : 清水寺Koizumi-dera ，花间小路和八坂。

2018/12/13 （Thursday）

Today dad and I went to Kobe 神户. Kobe is famous for two-things.1.The delicious Kobe beef .2.And the Kobe earthquake. First let me tell you what is Kobe beef. You might think “What’s so special about it, isn’t just beef”. Well this beef can only be MADE in Japan. Another way that it is special / delicious is because that the cows had been massaged, listen to music, and drink beer. Those cows were lucky but still got killed .Now let’s talk about what is an earthquake. An earthquake happens when 2 under ground plates bump into each other. First one of the plates bumps into the other plate.2. The plate causes the other to rumble and the EXPLODE. And that's how the earthquake forms. Now what causes a tsunami? It’s the same but not under land but under the Ocean.  On the year 1995 January /10/ 5:13 a.m. in Kobe there was an earthquake. 6000 people died. One of the reasons was because the people were still sleeping at 5:00. 8000 houses broke down. Because of that dad and I went to a light festival. Lucky us the light festival is very rare. Japan got the lights from Germany. It cost 2000000 bucks. Then we took the train back home.

My dad and I decided to go to earthquake museum at 6:50am. From Kyoto to Kobe it took us 1 hour. We took JR train. It means “Japanese Railway”. At 8:10am we arrived at Kobe. First we stopped at the earthquake Luckily at the other side of museum’s road is a MC Donald. I got a happy meal.  The toy was a train.

12^th today dad and I went to Nara奈良. Nara is famous for deer’s. There are deer’s are there because Japanese people believe in Shintoism. One of the Shinto gods is the god of these deer. The Japanese people built this shrine to worship the Shinto deer god.

2018/12/08 （Saturday）哲学小路，银阁寺，soba noodle lunch

Today me, mom, dad went to philosopher road. So what is the philosopher road? The philosopher road is basically (my dad told me this) romance thing. What did we do at the philosopher road? We went into little shops and then another temple. Ok let’s talk about the temple. The temple is called “silver roof temple” and while there is another temple called “golden roof temple”. Ok (again) you know I am Chinese, well the “silver roof temple” has a Chinese name called “银阁寺”(sound) “ying ge si”. In the “silver roof temple” (#it is very small) there is a “silver roof temple” (#and that’s why it is called the “silver roof temple”). The “silver roof temple” is made from 2 levels. One of the levels is full of Chinese style. And the other level is full of Japanese style. To tell the truth it’s called “silver roof temple” but it doesn’t even have a little bit of silver but is does have silver sand. The monks who live there have to use a lot of time to make it.

Today is my exciting day. why? Because my dad is here. you wanna know more info about him? well he is a scientist. his name is ke chen and his chinese name is 陈珂. We went to Nijo Castle. At the light festival the lights were very shiny. First they show you a gate, but when enter the gate you hear music. The music leads you to a garden. But it isn’t a normal garden, it’s a garden with beautiful and amazing lights. They shine lights at the trees with many colors. If they want to show you spring they turn the lights colors pink as the trees are Sakura’s. And if they want to show summer then they turn it light green. If fall then they show yellow. And if winter, they show white. After the garden a place with giant flowers like dandelion, sunflower, and more. Well, the 4D flower shows are also very cool. They spay lavender smell. And that's all for todays diary.      

12/1 Saturday, homestay
today mom and i go with her students to KIM..龟田。we were going to the castle in K, and I believe it was destroy 100 years ago, then we went to store to learn.how to.make soysauce. it basicly made of three incredience beans salt and enzyn. The first three days are the most important days because you need to make it 70 degrees so.that it.can.get.fermanted.correctly. Techniqually, everyone can make it, but it is not worthy it, because it will.take you a year, every day you need to stir with water to make it liquid. Before it, it is just like black mush. You know the liquid is salty already, but its mush form is even saltier. The guy in the store  told us if someone drink.the whole bottlebof it, they will die.we baught a garlic flavor, mommy liked the fish flavor, and there is also the pepper flavor。Next on the list...homestay time. Our homestay family has five kids including me there are six. The first night we cooked the pancake together and.then.we played NINTENDO SWITCH, Mario! I got the first place and everyone said sugei sugei, which means ‘great’!And then we play zombie RUSH.I was the zombie they were the people。

 11/28 Wed, Nara
 Today i got up early. usually i would miss breakfast, but today i got there super early because i was super excited to go to nara.park. we also bought bread for deer on the way to school. we went.there with all mommys students. we met the tour guide and started Nara advanture! They also sell deer cracker. we went to two temples and one shrine. To tell the truth ive been to Nara before with my grandparents and 大飞。there was a budda hall. it is huge but was.destroyed twice because of fire, but the temple.today is much smaller than before. the first time.it was destroyed 800.years ago, then.400 yrars ago again. Do you know who.built it? It was the 25th emperor.ofJapan, and another.fact.is why did he build.the buddah hall? Did he believe in Buddahism, or is he sectety a monl Is it because he。It was beacuse Japanese.people.were not.happy about the earthquake and.tsunami, so he wants to bring the buddah to help with it.  How did Japan have buddaism. well, youve heard China had buddism, right? Japan always.copied China until 19th century, even some of the Japanese Kanji are chinese characters. Now lets get.back to the key point. What is inside the buddah hall. There is this huge buddah. One of his hands is facing down to comfort the people who suffered, and the other hand facing up to connect with the brightness.



Today in my backpack my mom saw a lot of paper planes I made at Kids Duo, so she said I should write about it. 有一个Hammer 1号，2号和glider 1 号和2号，还有一个falcon 1号，它们组合在一起超厉害，比方Glider 能做很多twirl 呀，可是Hammer 不可以转，就像hammer一样砸在墙上当的一声, 可是它可以飞的很远，falcon呢，就像一个falcon bird, 它在空中飞，他看见pray 就往下冲。我给他起了一个名字叫“鹰锤剑”。我和Aaron老师还有Dan 老师一起做的，然后我们比谁做的最厉害。

11/18 Sun

今天我们去京都御前所，离我们住的二条坐地铁四站，我们已到了，我就惊呆了，我想这可不是不同的地铁啊，这不就是一个大商场吗，我们逛了半天没找到出口。我们出来以后发现地面上还有一个半封闭的大广场，而且越走越大，竟然有一个寺庙在里面。走到尽头以后，发现前面的三个路口竟然又有三个不同的大的半封闭的市场，我们不得不随便选左边的走，妈妈说下次来的时候再看另外两个。我就疯了，妈妈照了很多照片。我们逛了很多小商店，比如很老很老的书店，这个书店有二层，可是台阶上有很多很老很老的书，所以不能用。还有，我发现他们的书和美国的、中国的看字的方法不一样，book bind日本的书是在右边装订，然后从左往右翻，而且每页上的字是从上往下 、从右往左念。 午还有一个故事就是妈妈看到一个按摩店，进去预约，12点得等到3点，然后妈妈带我去咖啡馆学习和下载视屏。我发现京都的人很不喜欢说话，他们不得不说话的时候也要减到一半，这就是他们为什么餐厅的人很多，却没有中国的那么吵。 日本人很喜欢学西方人，比方我们今天去了京都的法国餐馆吃了一个kyoto-paris crepe，对面就是英国的Lipton茶叶的餐厅。 我们离开之前，我求妈妈给我买一个小鱼饼，这是我第三次吃，第一次是在多伦多的中国城，第二次是在北京的后海，妈妈给我买了一个红豆沙馅儿。我们都觉得没白买，外脆里面香甜。

11/17 Sat

今天是周六，我们睡了一个懒觉，因为昨天晚上我在食堂学习到很晚。早上我一听凯书讲故事。Then we went to the JR line to 岚山，到了以后我们去买小火车的票，可是只有下午4点的站票了，所以我们就租自行车去逛逛。我们逛书店，旁边有一个棉花糖的地方，妈妈就没能给我买棉花。我在小火车上看到了我们先看到竹林，然后看到红叶啊，还有人坐大竹筏在小溪里漂流，我这个时候还很伤心妈妈没给我买棉花糖，妈妈说下次一定补上。回家的路上我们遇到两个从波兰来的人，因为他们太累太老了，我给他们让座了，老爷爷告诉我他要找Kyoto Station下车。妈妈和我在回家了路上一起算今天花了多少钱，一共5万日元，大概50个美金，妈妈说她一天才能，所以我们要少花钱，要不然我们就没有钱了。

11/16 Friday

11/14
今天是我的第三堂日文课。我们先去了一个寺庙，观世音菩萨寺庙。那里面有一个国宝，就是一个木制的如来佛，他可是一千年以前的雕塑，可是保存的非常好，只有一些手指不见了。我给一些神钱，每个人给了十个日元。然后我乖乖的出去了，不敢让神生气，因为他们比人厉害啊，他们是不死的，你看连孙悟空都打不过如来佛，虽然他能打得过什么托塔李天王和哪吒三太子。

 然后我们去了京都影城，听说很多有名的日本电影都是在这拍的。忍者的地方很有意思，他们先教我们一些藏身的方法和屋子的机关，比方一个屋子里的门都不能打开，最后原来是一个衣橱可以折叠成小楼梯上楼。But there was 1 more very tricky way. You know that kind of Japanese door. But before telling you I’m going to tell you some thing very important and that‘s the first door is on the right and the second one is on the left. So basically you first pull one of those Japanese doors and that the first door but it shows you a wall. But don’t give up hope! You slide the second one to the right (door one still has to be open) behind the. Second door it’s the secret passageway!!!!!!!  

京都火车站有好多好多人，那不就是中国的如山人海嘛。我们去找Big Camera, 因为妈妈要买SIM Card，服务员还告诉我们七楼有玩具店，那儿有我很想要的 Nintendo Switch,我就照了个照片发给爸爸，我问爸爸他来的时候可以给我买吗，爸爸说看我的表现，所以我今天晚上我乖乖的学日文，妈妈夸了我。还有一个原因我学习了，因为如果我浪费时间妈妈就像小狗一样汪汪的叫。不过我其实很喜欢学习，因为很有意思，今天晚上我又学了10个日本的发音！！

11/13

昨天的夜晚很可怕，我们看了一个电影叫 grave of the fireflies，在美国炸日本的时候，有一个哥哥和妹妹他们的妈妈被炸死了，他们就搬去他的姨的家，可是因为他们不干活，姨妈不给他们饭吃，所以两个人就离家出走了。他们搬到外面住，但是他们也没有钱啊，所以每次有空袭的时候，哥哥就冒着危险跑到有钱人的家去偷东西给妹妹买吃的。哥哥是怎么死的呢？我先说他的爸爸怎么死的吧，我也要说他妈妈死的时候在银行里存了钱，哥哥取钱的时候听到别人说日本人的fleet（妈妈告诉我它叫“军舰”） 都被消灭了，一个也不剩，哥哥可就急眼了，你知道为什么嘛？因为爸爸就在军舰上，要是一个舰都不剩啊，那他的爸爸一定已经死了。后来妹妹饿死了，全家都死了，哥哥也死了，太悲惨了。

还有一个很感人的就是哥哥有一个秘密武器，每次妹妹哭的时候哥哥就给妹妹一个小糖，他自己都不舍得吃，最后糖吃没了，他把水放进去给妹妹很糖水，自己都不喝。
